Are you an inventor with an awesome product or entrepreneur with a stellar business idea? If so, Mark Burnett Productions, creator of smash television hits, “Survivor” and “The Apprentice” would love to hear from you.
The new show called “Shark Tank”, scheduled to air this fall on ABC, is a primetime opportunity for you to pitch your idea/product to a panel of five, tough judges and millions of television viewers. By the way, the show isn’t called “Shark Tank” because the producers weren’t able to come up with a better name. Applicants chosen as contestants must convince a panel of five savvy sharks to invest in their product/idea versus the others.
I’m sure a number of you are up for the challenge. If you’re interested in becoming a contestant or learning more about “Shark Tank”, visit http://www.enterthesharktank.com/
my product has not been patented and I’m afraid of losing my million dollar invention, and I dont have the money to take the proper steps. I’m sure I can leave all others in the dust, and every one will want one, what can I do?
Thanks for your comment Bibi. I understand your concerns.
If you’ve read the terms/conditions associated with the contest at EnterTheSharktank.com and have conerns, I’m not sure this opportunity is right for you.
Keep in mind you can always contact InventionHome.com if you need help protecting, patenting and marketing your idea.
Good luck!.
We’ve patented our product and it has kept the majority of copy cats away. But it’s always a battle even when you have a patent. So, don’t go public until you know you want to at least place a patent pending by filing a provisional patent. This does give you rights to the date if you continue on to get a patent. But if one year, one minute goes by and you’ve exposed it to the public, it’s not patentable but public domain.
Good luck.
I was really looking at the possibility of showing my invention on Joan Rivers new show. Her show describes “how” people got so rich. I hope to be a person who gets rich by showing my idea on her show and the show can follow along and see if it takes off and does make me rich.
I am a professional woman who has been in education for over 25 years. I have no desire to be any kind of inventor or celebrity. I love my job. I just came across a great idea that I know will work for women. I have done a few prototypes and it works easily. It will market to almost any women and I know women in their 30’s on up especially will like this product. I have not found anything on the market that resembles this.
Please contact me if you are interested.
Hi Amy,
Like Gary (above), I would caution you about sharing your invention publicly until you have secured some sort of patent protection. A good place to start would be a provisional patent application, which is typically quicker and less expensive than filing the “full-blown” patent (also called the ‘Utility Patent Application’). Once you’ve protected your invention with a “patent pending”, it’s much safer to share the details with friends, family, companies, and even Joan Rivers…
Additional information about provisional patent applications is available on our website:
